A Tale of Two Trumpets

 

A small chapter of a larger story as it relates to the development of black music in the seat of the Confederacy. Evolving from Post Reconstruction to present day there has always been a multi-tiered social aspect of black life in Atlanta. In this short bio pic, John Peek, Conductor, Director of the first African American Philharmonic Orchestra in the city of Atlanta takes us on a black cultural history tour. Mr. Peek is joined by friends and fellow musicians Mason "Spook" Johnson, Dub Hudson, and Billy Reid.
